Double your impact by having your gift matched

When you live with a terminal disease like ALS, losing the use of your arms means losing the ability to hug those you love. Losing the use of your legs means you now watch — not run through the park with — your children. Losing the ability to speak means never again saying, “I love you.”

Whether it progresses slowly or quickly, the outcome is always the same. ALS takes dreams, abilities, and lives, but you have a chance to make a difference this holiday season.

What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is the kick-off to the holiday giving season — a special, once-a-year, global movement where people collectively show support for their cause of choice and give back.

If you’ve been touched by ALS, or you want to create a brighter future for people facing an ALS diagnosis, Giving Tuesday is the day to double your impact.

On November 27, make a donation to ALS Canada and it will be 100% matched – up to $10,000 – by a group of generous anonymous donors.

We refuse to accept that people will continue to lose their lives, and families continue to lose their loved ones. Make ALS Canada your charity of choice on Giving Tuesday and keep hope alive this holiday season.

Where do donor dollars go?

It is estimated that ALS costs a family between $150,000 and $250,000 over the course of the disease.* You can offset the financial burden this holiday season by helping people in Ontario access equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, ramps and stair lifts – items made available through ALS Canada’s equipment loan pool.

Support ALS Canada on November 27 and you will also help fuel new discoveries and clinical trials with the most promise to slow down the disease or even stop it. Currently, there is no cure for ALS, but research is the pathway to a future without it. You can help us get there.

Thank you, in advance, for your support.
