ALS Society of Canada launches new cycle event – the ALS Canada Revolution Ride

Toronto, November 23, 2020 – ALS Canada is excited to announce the launch of the ALS Canada Revolution Ride! Created to inspire and spark action, this volunteer-powered annual cycling event will support the ALS community as we collectively “gear up for change” and help create more hope for a future without this devastating disease.

Taking place on September 26, 2021, the inaugural Revolution Ride invites participants to come together in picturesque Dundas, Ontario, where the escarpment’s beauty will be revealed atop climbs and along long and winding countryside roads. Participants will be challenged to complete one of the 40km, 60km or 90km routes, each one providing an exhilarating and uniquely rewarding experience.

Participants can register themselves in one of three different categories: as individuals challenging themselves to complete a personal goal; as a team of family and friends in support of someone with ALS; or as a corporate team looking for a rewarding activity to do with colleagues. Individuals or teams who raise more than $1,500 will also earn special perks, including a custom cycling jersey and socks, as well as recognition along the route, and more.

The Revolution Ride begins and ends at Shawn & Ed Brewing Co. in Dundas, with pre-ride festivities planned to kick-off the day, followed by a post-ride party to celebrate.

Proceeds from the event will help people and families living with ALS in Ontario through community-based support services, and fund provincial and federal advocacy efforts as well as dedicated investment in ALS research through the ALS Canada Research Program.

Registration for the event opens today. Challenge yourself and those in your community to do more for people living with ALS. Join the revolution and visit the Revolution Ride website to learn more:
