What is the ALS Canada Children and Youth Resource Hub and how do I use it?

The ALS Society of Canada (ALS Canada) is committed to supporting people and their families as they talk about the disease and share information with the children and youth they are close to. We aim to provide accurate and relevant information to help you have these important and sensitive conversations.

From diagnosis to disease progression, we understand that sharing information with children in an appropriate and authentic way that is easily understood can be overwhelming.

ALS Canada developed the Children and Youth Resource Hub to provide educational materials that will address the unique challenges faced by children and youth impacted by ALS. In addition to resources for children and youth, there is information for adults to help children and youth navigate an ALS diagnosis in the family.
