For the second year in a row, Orangetheory Fitness is giving its members (and the community) a way for you to make an impact while getting in a good workout. It’s a win-win!

On May 1, 2019, Orangetheory Fitness is launching a campaign throughout Canadian studios to benefit the ALS Canada Research Program. Their inaugural 2018 year in Canada resulted in an amazing $250,000 being donated to the ALS Canada Research Program. They’re back again this year working out toward a future without ALS with a fundraising goal of $400,000!

The inspiration behind the campaign is Augie Nieto – fitness guru and founder of Life Fitness – who was diagnosed with ALS in 2005. His passion for fitness, both before and after his diagnosis, has inspired thousands of people to live a more active lifestyle. To find a studio near you, visit their website.

If you’re unable to visit a studio or can’t find one in your community, you can still contribute to the ALS Canada Research Program by donating here. Funds raised through Augie’s Quest in support high-quality ALS research with the most promise to slow down or stop the disease through the ALS Canada Research Program.

If you can’t make it to one of these events, contact your local Orangetheory Fitness studio to learn more about the donations they’ll be collecting between May 1 and May 15 in support of the ALS Canada Research Program. Partnerships like this help raise awareness of the disease, increase funding in an effort to accelerate progress in ALS research and propel us toward a future without ALS.
